The Gaddies’ Guide to the Right-Sized Stroller

The Gaddies’ Guide to the Right-Sized Stroller

Posted by Gaddies on

As gaddies, we know there’s a lot in the parenting landscape that doesn’t fit us quite right.

There’s the abundance of Mommy & Me classes where dads are conspicuously unaccounted for, and the droves of children’s books that almost exclusively feature straight parents.

We expect this, of course, and we pride ourselves on finding ways to adapt. But one thing we really shouldn’t budge on–for the love of our lower backs–is finding dad-sized strollers that match our height.

When we first went stroller shopping, I tested dozens looking for the right one. Eventually, I learned that I needed a stroller with adjustable and telescopic handlebars. These are a must for taller daddies, as the ability to move the handlebar up and away from the stroller provides plenty of height and space.

Jogging strollers were another godsend, as they tend to be taller with larger wheels and more complex suspension systems. With all of this in mind, and to help the gentle giants of our community, we’ve compiled a list of some of the tallest strollers on the market. For each stroller, the listed height represents the tallest handlebar setting.

Here’s to strolling in comfort:
